It’s been two weeks since Valve Games implemented the latest version of Dota 2. This time, the devs presented us with the new update 7.32 which turned out much larger than the last one.

In less than 24 hours after introduction, a great amount of trends have been emerging, and players started immediately experimenting with their favorite heroes. The objective of these trends is as expected: to create the most diverse metagame that has ever been seen. Thus, some underappreciated heroes make their resurgence, looming in the background, while others are quickly dominating the early metagame.

It comes down to the major changes and reworks made to the most and less picked heroes in the game. And below, we leave you with all of the major updates made to heroes that have the potential to create a new meta.

Besides, during the summer of 2022, Valve also presented us with another update but outside of Dota 2. From August 21, all CS: GO fans can enjoy playing the game in the latest version with some “common” aspects modified. For all this and for what awaits you there, check out the cover.gg page.

Big Changes to Heroes in 7.32

As we have mentioned above, the patch includes some huge changes about heroes that could become much stronger in the new meta. That is why we are singling out the reworks on them regarding the potential they might create around themselves.

Centaur Warrunner

Following the new patch changes, this hero got his Aghanimm’s Scepter changed: he no longer has the Stampede upgrade, but has a new ability called Hitch a Ride.

This spill literally lets Centaur toss an allied hero in a cart behind him while he runs off with them. An ally in a cart can cast spells and attack but can’t move on his own, and enemies can’t choose his target. Effects without a target affect an ally inside, with the range of attack of melee heroes increased by 200.

Brewmaster

Brewmaster’s new Aghanim’s Scepter change allows him to summon a Primal Companion by creating one of the warriors depending on the current Drunken Brawler rack. All warrior’s abilities are recharged twice as slowly. In that case, if the warrior is more than 1600 from the owner, he will not be able to use the abilities and will be slowed down by 50%.

Apart from it, a new warrior can’t be summoned if an existing one has received damage from other heroes under his control in the last 3 seconds, and only one of them can exist at a time. If the companion dies, the ability goes on cooldown for 70 seconds. Finally, the split will disappear if you apply the Primal Split ability.

Beastmaster

In the 7.32 patch, the hero’s Aghanim’s Scepter was reworked to a new split called Drums of Slom. This allows Beastmaster to hit his drum faster and faster (for 6 seconds). Each hit now deals 110 damage to enemies within a 600 radius, healing the owner of the ability and creatures under his control by 25 percent of hero damage and 5 percent of creep damage, respectively. However, blows to the drum do not cause damage or cure if Beastmaster is stunned or silent.

Clockwerk

The hero’s Overclocking was completely reworked in the latest patch. This rework no longer recharges the Clockwerk’s abilities and does not increase the speed of attack and movement. Also, this overloads the hero’s abilities as follows:

  • Battery Assault works on all enemies in its range.
  • Power Cogs increase the owner’s attack speed inside the gears by 250.
  • Rocket Flare recharges for three seconds and fires an additional rocket on the sides of the target.
  • Hookshot’s duration and stun area are increased by 50%.

After the effect runs out, it stuns the owner for three seconds. In that case, timing is key for sure.

Pugna

The hero’s new Aghanim’s Scepter rework now reduces Life Drain’s recharge by 50%. By applying this ability to an enemy, the Scepter upgrade reduces his spell damage by 8% every second (maximum 75% reduction), while increasing the damage caused by the owner’s spells up to 100%. When used through a Nether Ward totem, the effect is halved and the damage change rate is 4%.

Chen

Under the influence of the Holy Knight’s change, Chen received a new Martyrdom ability to his Aghanim’s Scepter. This new ability is applied to all of Chen’s controlled units, allowing you to sacrifice the life of the creep for the sake of curing any ally with the current level Hand of God ability. The clutch save potential of this ability is not limited, while the duration of the buff is 8 seconds (common for all heroes).
