The Attack on Titan anime series is entering its fourth season. It is also its last season. However, there are still a few chapters in the manga version. After the tragic death of Hange Zoe, series creator HajimeIsayama keeps fans interested in what happened and who will be next victim in the Rumbling incident.
The manga appears to have the answer in chapter 135 yesterday. We see Armin, the successor to Hange, become the next victim in this chapter. He was captured by one the Titans who had been his predecessors, and was then seen being eaten by the Titan. In the next chapter, however, there is a surprise.
Armin’s current status is explained in Chapter 136, “Devote Your Hearts” yesterday. Armin is still “alive” and the bizarre situation he finds himself in now makes it clear that he is not alone. Zeke Jaeger had the exact same experience with Armin. All of them are trapped in the Paths universe.
After their attack on Eren’s Founding Titan form is defeated, the remaining allied forces – Levi, Mikasa Jean, Connie and Reiner – are forced to flee all attacks from Ymir Fritz who orders the Titans defend and attack them. Whoever tries to interfere.
Falco’s Winged Titan saved them and brought them to safety. They realized, however, that their comrades had been left behind. Pieck Finger remains trapped in battle with Cart Titan’s form. Armin is not able to be found after being eaten by one the previous Titans.
Armin’s condition is unclear. It is not clear if he is conscious or dead. His “spirit”, to be certain, could still see his body lying down. Armin knew it was the Path World, and he thought that this might be what linked the minds of all Eldians.
Armin saw Zeke’s face in frustration. Eren’s older brother, Eren, was last seen in chapter 122, where Eren took over the power of Founding Titan and carried out his plan to end the human race through the events at Rumbling. This was “agreed to” by Ymir Fritz.
Last time, the Beast Titan was seen using his throwing skills to defeat all air attacks that led him to the Titan Eren wall. Ymir Fritz was the one who actually managed all of this. Fans were unsure at the time that Zeke was alive. Armin and Zeke spoke at the end of chapter 136. Zeke said that they had been “eaten by Ymir.”
While Mikasa, the other allied forces, may eventually find Armin’s body but it is up to Armin and Zeke whether they wish to return to the Path world. It is not known how they managed to escape.
