Each household has an average of 40-60 different detergents, ointments and lotions. There are many colorful containers, sprays and hoses throughout the house. Are we really going to use these products? Most household appliances can be cleaned with vinegar and sodium bicarbonate (baking soda). These two types of households are the most common. This is because it is cost-effective, non-toxic and environmentally friendly.

This article will show you how to use these homemade cleaners to clean different household appliances.

Clean the fridge

You should clean your refrigerator every four to six week. Vinegar is the best natural cleaner. Use household vinegar to mix with water at a 1:1 ratio. This will be used to wipe down all surfaces of the refrigerator. Vinegar is able to clean, disinfect and eliminate odors. You can also clean drawers and freezers within the freezer layer of your refrigerator in the same manner.Dilute 1:1 with vinegar and water to clean the refrigerator

Clean the fridge mold

After repeated use, ice cube molds made from plastic or stainless steel will develop calcium deposits. The mold can be cleaned by using a 1:1 mixture of water and edible vinegar. After soaking for several hours, rinse the mold with water.

The refrigerator should be able to neutralize the odor

Are you noticing an unpleasant odor in your refrigerator? Are you able to clean the fridge on weekends? To neutralize odors, you can use sodium bicarbonate. Simply put the powder in a small bowl or plate and place it in the fridge.

It is only temporary before you use vinegar to clean. It is best to locate the source of the unusual smell as quickly as possible and get rid of it.

Coffee machine decalcification

Vinegaris a household product that can decalcify coffee makers. Put about a cup of water and 1 cup of edible vinegar into the water storage container. Turn on the coffee maker and allow the solution to flow through the machine for approximately one cup. After 20 minutes, turn off the machine to let the vinegar solution work in the machine. Turn it back on, then let the vinegar solution run through the machine. Rinse it with clean water twice more. The coffee machine will have been decalcified, and you can use it as usual.

Citric acid cannot be used to heat or decalcify household appliances like coffee makers and irons. This is because it will convert into calcium citrate, which is hard to dissolve when heated. Citric acid is only suitable for cold and warm descaling solutions.

Boiler should be cleaned

You can use vinegar to remove calcium from the water boiler, just like in other kitchen machines. The vinegar and water should be mixed in a 1:1 ratio. Pour the solution into the container and allow it to sit for several hours before it can work. The time required for decalcification may be reduced if the solution is only boiled once.Clean the steam iron

Steam iron cleaning and decalcification

You can remove calcium from steam irons by mixing vinegar and water in a 1:1 ratio. Then pour the mixture into the iron’s water storage container and heat it. Allow the steam to spray for about 1 to 2 minutes. Then, let the iron rest for at least an hour. Then, drain the solution into a water storage tank. Rinse with clean water and boil the steam to remove any remaining vinegar or calcium. You can try again with diluted edible vinegar if the result is not satisfactory.

Clean the microwave

You can usually remove most of the staining from the microwave oven with a sponge sprayed with sodium bicarbonate. You can wipe the entire interior surface with a sponge and then repeat this process until you are satisfied that all oil and dirt has been removed. You can then wipe it clean using a damp cloth.

You can steam vinegar clean your microwave if it is very dirty. This is how it works: First, take a bowl that can be heated in a microwave oven and then place half a cup water and half a teaspoon of vinegar inside the bowl. Next, heat the microwave oven on high. Turn on the microwave for 5 minutes at the highest setting. Allow the vinegar solution to cool down before wiping the sponge over it with a damp cloth.

Citric acid can achieve the same effect. You only need a whole lemon. The whole lemon should be cut into thin slices. Next, place the bowl in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat the microwave at high intensity for 2 to 3 minutes. You can then wipe down the microwave with a damp cloth. It is easy to clean the microwave oven.Clean the oven. (Shutterstock)

Clean out the oven and clean your bakeware

You don’t need to use strong chemicals to remove stubborn grease stains or dirt from the oven. As long as Wan Ling’s sodium carbonate ( baking soda) is used, you can solve the problem as if you were playing a game.

Make a paste by mixing sodium bicarbonate with water in a 1:1 ratio. The paste should then be applied to the affected area in the oven. It is best to leave it to work over night. After thorough cleaning, you can remove the dirt and paste with a sponge from your kitchen.

This same technique can be used to remove any food remnants from the bottom of a pot, casserole, or pan.

Dishwasher maintenance and cleaning

The dishwasher’s unpleasant smell is often caused by dirt on the interior, back edges, or pipelines. You can use vinegar to deodorize. Place about half a liter vinegar in a small bowl. Then, place the bowl in the dishwasher. The dishwasher will run the cleaning process as normal, but you should not pre-wash. If the pre-wash feature cannot be turned off please wait approximately 15 to 20 minutes before you start the empty dishwasher. Then, place the vinegar in the bowl.

This can make dirt and odor disappear. You should be careful opening the machine’s door, as there might still be alkaline water in it. It could spill out.

Washing machine – Cleaning and decaling

You can decalcify and clean washing machines that smell or are filthy with vinegar. Half a liter edible vinegar can be poured directly into the drum and washed at 60 degrees with an empty machine.
