This is the island that every One Piece pirate dreams of. This island was first mentioned by Gol D. Roger as he was about to be executed. Roger stated that One Piece did exist, and that he had also placed all his treasure there. The spirit of the young pirates has been rekindled to search for the Last Island.
Later, it was discovered that Raftel was the name of the last island. It turns out that it is a pronunciation of his realname, Laugh Tale. We are then shown the reason the island is called Laugh Tale in Kozuki Oden’s flashback. Roger named it after he laughed about what was found there – possibly a One Piece Poneglyph.
It takes a lot of effort to reach the island. They must gather information and directions on the routes through the Road Poneglyph. This road is extremely mysterious and hard to find. Apart from the One Piece, it is still a mystery why Laugh Tale is so difficult to find.
Brook’s song Bink’s Sake has the island’s name romanized as “Laugh Tale”. This could be related to the last lyric, which can be interpreted “a funny / stupid story / endless laugh” Bink’s Sake lyrics about a “funny tale (Laughing Story/Laugh Tale)” are no accident.
It is possible that Bink’s Sake was written and composed by Joy Boy, the first pirate to help find the island of Laugh Tale. This would allow for big changes in the world. Although this theory is speculative, it would mean that Laugh Tale is an island that runs just like Zou. The lyrics translate to “never ending”, which means that the story/island (tale) of our adventure is hilarious.
The song also talks about leaving Laugh Tale, which can be interpreted to mean “waves that are golden and silver” and can lead to “golden waves,” which could be a hint to whether you can enter or exit Laugh Tale.
The song also includes the lyrics “Ming Ri mo Yue Ye”, which can be translated as “tomorrow’s a moonlit evening”. The simple conclusion to the song suggests that Bink’s Sake may have given a clue. It states that the sun sets and rises at the full moon, so accessing the island is only possible when it is dark. This may be why Laugh Tale is so difficult to reach. Scientific research shows that each month the gold and silver waves only occur for 24 minutes. It will be difficult, if not impossible, to predict when the silver and gold waves will occur. Other factors, such as fog and other elements that can make it difficult for us to locate the island’s location, are also important.
