  • The primary color is the only one that exists and cannot be mixed with other colors. Red, yellow and blue are the main colors. However, you can only create green by using blue and yellow.
  • Mixing two primary colors creates the “secondary” colour. Because it is composed of yellow and blue, green is considered a secondary colour. Other secondary colors include orange and purple.

To change the tone, you can alter the proportions. Pure green is a combination of yellow and blue. However, if you add more of these colors to your green, it will be slightly different.

  • Due to the wide range of primary and secondary colors, these are the two most common variations.
  • Two parts of blue and one part yellow make up the bluish-green color. This color can be created by mixing the blue and green parts.
  • Two yellow parts make up the yellowish-green. One blue part makes it. It can also be made by mixing the yellow and green parts.

What Colours Make Green

You can change the brightness to white or black. White can be used to lighten the color of the green without altering the tone. Black can be used to darken the green.

  • The most vibrant tones are known as “hues”, while the darkest tones are known as “shadows”.

Method 2: Use green paint

Mix blue and yellow ink. Mix the same amount of yellow and pure blue ink into a painting plate. Mix the colors with a knife.

  • Mixing the natural color creates a pure, green colour.
  • Use a brush to apply some scratch paper to get a better idea of the green color.

2. Varietate the proportions. Pure green might not be the right color depending on your purpose. You can change the color by adding more yellow or more of a different hue.

  • A warmer green will be produced by adding more yellow, while a greener green will be produced with more blue.
  • You can make small adjustments to achieve the desired tone. It is easier to find the right spot gradually than to use too much paint and have to go back to center.

3. You can mix different shades of blue and yellow. You can mix different colors to create a new shade of green.

  • Pure yellow and pure blue will make green. However, if the initial color is changed before mixing, the result will also change. Combining golden yellow and plain blue will result in a softer green that is more brown. Mixing plain yellow and light blue will result in a light green.
  • Experimentation is the best way to discover which shades of yellow and blue will produce different types greens. You can experiment with these colors by choosing a different color and combining the yellow with the blue. Keep the results in your notebook for future reference.

What Colours Make Green

4. Mixing different shades of green is a good idea. If you have two shades that are similar but not quite the right shade, you can mix them to get the desired color.

  • Mixing the elements blue, yellow and green can create new colors.
  • You can also mix green with other yellows or blues, which will change the shade dramatically.

5. You can change the brightness to white or black. After you have chosen the shade you like, you can adjust the brightness using black or white paint.

  • To create a brighter or darker color, you can add white paint.
  • Add white ink or black ink slowly, regardless of how bright you want it to be. It can be too bright or dark if you add too much.

Method 3: Make Green Icing

1 . Place the green dye on the plate. To transfer the dye, dip the toothpick in the green dye. Mix thoroughly.

  • Mix until the sugar layer is completely opaque.
  • The color of your icing will depend on the type of green dye used. A “moss” dye, for example, will produce a warmer shade than a leaf green.
  • The color tone will be affected by the amount of dye used. Glacier is white so small amounts of green dye will create a bright color. A brighter sheen will be created by using more dye.

2. You can mix the blue and yellow parts on another plate. You can transfer the dyes from the same color using a separate toothpick. Mix well.

  • You will get green icing after you have mixed the dye.
  • The yellow and blue colors used initially will determine the exact color. The amount of dye used will also affect the brightness.

3. In a second plate, combine green and black. Mix green dye, blue dye and yellow dye together in a third dish. Follow the same steps as the previous two. This third sample can be made with a little bit of black.

  • Mix the black dye with the green to get a darker shade, but the color will not change.
  • Use a very small amount of dye, as black can have a more dramatic effect on the color’s appearance.

What Colours Make Green

4. You can try another combination. To test different color combinations, you can use the white icing leftovers. Keep track of the color and amount used in each sample so you can refer back to them.

  • To create new colors, follow the manufacturer’s instructions or make your own combinations.
  • Here are some ideas:
    • You can mix the same sky and leaf parts to create a pool-blue or water-green color.
    • Use the following map: 9 parts lemon yellow, 1 part green leaf.
    • To create a deep jade color, combine the green parts of the leaves with the blue from the same kingdom.
    • To make a teal or turqiu, mix different amounts of sky blue and lemon zest.

Method 4 of 4: Making Green Polymer Clay

1 . Combine yellow clay and blue clay. Combine the warm and cool colors. Mix the two ingredients until you get a smooth mixture.

  • To mix the colors, roll, stretch, and knead each ball. You will not see any blue or yellow streaks when you are done.
  • The final color should be a bright green as the yellow and blue already have some of it.

2 . Continue working with the other combinations. Continue to mix the blue and yellow clays using the same process as the first green sample. Continue to use all combinations.

  • Cool blues and warm yellows will produce a light green color with brown lines.
  • Warm yellow and warm turquoise will create a warm green with simple tones.
  • Mixing cool yellow and cool blue will give you a medium-tone cool green with a blue hue.

3. Then add white to the mixture. Copy the original sample using your favorite color of green. Mix the greens and add a bit of white.

  • Mix green with white until you have no trace of color. You will get a lighter color and less life. The hue will become lighter the more you add white.

4. Add translucent clay to the second sample. Make a duplicate of the green color from the previous sample but don’t add any white. Mix a little translucent clay instead.

  • Mixing translucent clay with green must make it appear brighter without altering the tone or brightness of the sample.
  • You can use translucent clay to make semi-transparent colors.

5. To the final sample, add black. Use the same base green as for experiments with translucent clay and white. Mix a few black and green wells.

  • Mixing black and green will give the sample a darker shade, but the color will remain the same.
  • You don’t need to use too much black to blacken the green in most cases. So, only use a little.
