Is college hard? Many people believe that college is difficult. It is true, however. Is it true based on their own experience? Is it true that every college graduate thinks the same?
Finally!
We are now in high school and have completed the damn EvAU.
It seems like our future is less on track, and everything is going according plan.
First, Congratulations.
This time is hard for many people. You will never feel the same pressure again at this stage.
I think is the best.
However, it isn’t all roses. You will likely have to work harder than ever before to keep your job.
Don’t be afraid. I’m going to show you how college works, and if it’s as hard as they claim.
Is college so difficult?
Yes or no.
College offers many benefits over high school, however it does have one major disadvantage.
The agenda is more complex and extensive .
Bad news: It doesn’t matter how high your grades are, or how much you study in ESO or high school. Now things get serious
You can expect to lose a lot of grades and may have to retake a subject. This is normal and you don’t have to feel ashamed.
Most cases, the university level is higher than the baccalaureate. This is a good thing. You will gradually get used to the level, and you will soon regain your rhythm.
It is an enormous change in the first year. Like all those who have been through university, you will eventually adapt. Many will need to learn new ways to study (Feynman SQ4R Walzen, PQRST), and take multiple choice exam.
You’ll see that exams are more difficult than you think, that you have enough time to study all you need, and that you don’t know where to begin studying (class notes, notes from previous year, manuals, books ).
It may seem daunting, but it will be an amazing time in your life.
How can you adapt to the changes?
Although it can seem daunting, the transition from high school to college is something that we have all experienced.
You will eventually get used to the level, and you will find the right work pace.
To help you cope with the changes, I recommend a book I believe is perfect for university students. “Who moved my cheese?” by Spencer Johnson.
This book is a brilliant guide to the whole process of difficult change.
We will all experience significant changes throughout our lives.
To continue your personal growth, it is important to learn how to adapt to and deal with them.
It’s a book I highly recommend to anyone who is going to close an old stage and begin something new.
Enjoy
Although university requires us to learn more and is more challenging, it has many benefits over high school.
You don’t have to feel the pressure of a Bachelor. It’s over, you got the note. This pressure is not something you will ever face again. The most important thing now is to get the most out of your career. They will not achieve it in four years. Others will do it in five, six, seven …, years.
Also, it is assumed that you are in university because you chose something you love and a career you enjoy. It doesn’t matter how hard things are, you will find enough motivation to keep going.
I hope you have a great time. It is a time to grow and learn about yourself. You will meet new people and make new friends. However, you will also learn your limits as a student.
Many people say it is the most important stage in your life. I strongly disagree. I hope university is an amazing time where you learn a lot about yourself. I also hope the next few years are as wonderful.
All of you, and especially the new students at university, wish you all luck.
