What are the main differences between Diablo II and Diablo II Resurrected?

Diablo II Resurrected Improvements
For purists, be aware that it is possible at any time to switch from modern 3D display to classic 2D display (including sound level). Along with its visual and sound improvements, Resurrected has also received gameplay improvements.
First of all, Diablo II Resurrected supports controllers, commonplace for home consoles, but also true for Windows PCs, which adds charm to the game. You also have a much more detailed statistics screen than on the old version with many new information like recovery speed, search for magic items, etc.
The many other improvements are visible in terms of the comfort of the game itself: automatic collection of gold, exclusive objects in certain modes, increase in the storage chest (10×10 boxes per character), easier to read world map , continuous item name display, inventory sorting, and more.
In addition to the improvements, Diablo II Resurrected loses some features of its basic title, such as the possibility of playing in LAN mode (via the TCP/IP protocol). At the same time, the number of game servers (in internet protocol) has been increased, which allows you to play anytime with anyone. Note that chat functions are only available for PCs.
What is Diablo II Resurrected?
Diablo II Resurrected is a Hack & Slash game, also called Action-RPG. This type of game is a role-playing game focused on mass combat. The camera is placed above the battlefield (with 3D effect) and allows you to see not only your character, but also everything that happens around him. The goal is therefore to destroy the armies of demons or monsters of all kinds that come to attack you.
In Diablo II Resurrected, there is no joy or care bears, the settings are dark and desperate, like what you would expect if you descended into hell. Under pouring rain and a dark sky, you will walk through scenes of misery strewn with corpses or portions of corpses. To fight against the monsters present in the game (creatures from the underworld), you will have to descend into dungeons, each offering a different fauna. Attention sensitive souls abstain, explosions of body and blood are at the rendezvous in this very gory universe.
How to play Diablo II Resurected?
Your journey begins at Camp Rogue which serves as the focal point for the entire Diablo II Resurrected Hub. There you will find the stalls of vendors and craftsmen who will allow you to improve your character and his equipment according to what you have collected during the game. From this central point, you can go to any area of Diablo II Resurrected universe: Lut Gholein desert, Kurast jungle, Pandemonium fortress and more.
But first of all, you will have to create your character. Besides the physical aspect of it you will have to choose a class. Each with their own specific strengths and skills. Diablo II Resurrected features 7 different classes: Amazon, Assassin, Necromancer, Barbarian, Paladin, Witch, and Druid. Some classes offer magic while others are more focused on melee. Choose your class based on your game type. For better experience, you can buy D2R ladder items.
In addition to the classes, you will be able to improve your avatar as the game progresses, in particular by learning new skills (there are more than 200). As you go on your adventures, you will also be able to recover a lot of very useful materials and objects. Note that the inventory fills up quickly and that trips to base camp will be necessary to empty it.
Diablo II Resurrected offers two game modes. A single-player mode where you explore the game universe, descend into dungeons and follow the storyline (in 5 acts). The multiplayer mode allows you to meet up to 8 players from all over the world at the same time (4 players on Switch) thanks to the connection to battle.net game servers.
